Chief Executive Officer

Bill is the Chief Executive Officer and a founder of Alexius LLC since its inception in 2013. Prior to establishing Alexius, he was in private practice as a certified public accountant /certified fraud examiner with a focus on providing consulting and advisory services to small to mid-size companies. His expertise includes serving as a client’s interim chief executive officer or chief financial officer to deliver hands on management of strategic transactions. His proficiency includes advising clients on preparing business models, mergers & acquisitions, equity funding, cost reduction, fraud prevention, private placement memorandums, and development of high growth emerging concepts.

Jeffrey is a co-founder of Alexius LLC and serves as the company’s chief operating officer. He was formerly Counsel with Faegre Baker Daniels LLP and Snell & Wilmer, LLP and Vice President and General Counsel of Medicine Shoppe International. He is a member of the International Franchise Association Legal-Legislative Committee; an Officer and Newsletter Co-Editor of the International Franchising Committee of the International Bar Association; and, a member of the International Chamber of Commerce Franchise Task Force. Jeffrey has recognized for his expertise in franchising by The International Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers, Franchise Times “Legal Eagles,” Chambers USA and Chamber’s Global: America’s Leading Lawyers for Franchising, Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers.

Chief Client Services and Innovation Officer

Andy is the Chief Client Services and Innovation Officer and co-founder of Alexius LLC. He brings twenty years of legal experience as both in-house counsel and external counsel for numerous Fortune 500 companies. Previously, Andy held positions as Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs and interim General Counsel for Adelphia Communications and Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for AT&T Broadband and TCI Communications. Andy provides a unique and multi-faceted business perspective to legal and compliance matters that incorporate his extensive background managing legal and operations teams, legal budgets and restructuring internal processes to enhance efficiencies and reduce costs.

CHIEF DEVELOPMENT AND STRATEGY OFFICER

Kevin serves as Chief Development and Strategy Officer. Prior to Alexius, Kevin spent more than 20 years practicing in some of the country’s largest law firms. He was a partner in the Denver office of Faegre Baker Daniels and the Denver office of Snell & Wilmer LLP, and associate in the Denver office of Dorsey & Whitney LLP. For more than two decades, he has focused his practice on counseling companies that rely on franchising as part of their distribution models on a wide range of legal issues, including state and federal disclosure requirements, compliance with state relationship laws, franchise sales compliance, restaurant and retail development, franchising in the health and wellness industries, mergers and acquisitions, corporate counseling, and dispute resolution. Kevin is recognized consistently for legal excellence by organizations such as The Best Lawyers in America – Franchise Law, International Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and as a Franchise Times – Legal Eagle.

Jamie held positions at the prestigious law firms of Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman LLP and at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. He has also served as internal counsel to a number of pioneering technology companies in the semiconductor and software industries. His experience encompasses strategic planning, R&D, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, patent litigation and general business counseling. He also brings an extensive background in science, technology and corporate law to his experience working in the areas of intellectual property, licensing, contracts, dispute management, and streamlining business processes. 

Jenni Wisniewski

Jenni has over 17 years of legal experience and held positions as General Counsel at The Alternative Board and as a partner at Snell & Wilmer LLP. Her expertise includes advising executive, sales, operation and marketing teams in areas of franchise development, sales, regulatory compliance, franchisee relationship management, dispute resolution, trademark prosecution, IP and technology licensing and retail leasing. She is proficient at managing legal budgets, developing internal processes and procedures to enhance compliance and operational efficiencies, sales compliance training and managing domestic and international outside counsel. Jenni has been recognized as Franchise Times “Legal Eagles” and has served as the chair of the Colorado Bar Association Franchise Subsection and co-chair of the Women’s Franchise Network, International Franchise Association.    

Michael Maciszewski

Vice President

Mike has a unique combination of legal acumen and management experience, which enables him to identify practical, business-minded solutions. Prior to joining Alexius, he was a corporate attorney at Faegre Baker Daniels, LLP, where he served as outside general counsel to a wide range of companies, providing guidance relating to commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, operational matters, and strategic transactions. He also held management positions in the National Football League and was the General Manager of the Colorado Crush, where he oversaw the organization’s day-to-day operations, contract negotiations, and financial management. Passionate about higher education, Mike is a business law and sports law lecturer at the University of Colorado at Boulder Leeds School of Business and an active alumnus of Harvard College, UCLA Anderson School of Management, and University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

 

 

Trish Barrett

Trish has over 12 years of legal experience and held positions as General Counsel at The Gart Companies and GolfTEC Enterprises and was an attorney at boutique law firms in downtown Denver.  Her experience includes successfully negotiating and drafting complex contracts, license agreements and commercial real estate leases and negotiation and preparation of asset purchase and sale agreements.  She is proficient in the due diligence processes, human resource issues and franchise regulations.  Trish is a valued advisor to her clients in both legal and business matters.
